The DSS staff hopes that you all had restful and peaceful holidays! Now that it’s January 2019, it’s time to take care of business before the spring 2019 semester begins on Monday, January 28.
- If you are a continuing student, you need to bring your spring 2019 class schedule to the office and request an “Instructor Letter” (green sheet) that you can show to all your instructors.
- If you have been approved for Alternate Media, you must see Cory Thomas, DSS Alternate Media Specialist, ASAP to request texts in alternate format.
- If you are taking an online class and would like to request test taking accommodations for your class(es), you must complete the Online Test Accommodations Request form and submit to Norma Vasquez, DSS Student Services Specialist, at least one week BEFORE the semester begins.
- If you have been approved for Table & Chair class accommodations, this too must be requested before the semester begins to ensure that you can be accommodated for your first class meeting.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment for any reason, you MUST cancel at least 24 hours in advance. If you are a “no-show”, or you cancel with less than 24 hour notice, the earliest available date for your rescheduled appointment will be at least two weeks from the date of the “no-show” or late cancellation.
