Fullerton College’s Disability Support Services department is committed to providing information on our website in an accessible format. If you have difficulty accessing any of the information on our website, please contact our staff via email at firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us the nature of the accessibility issue.
The DSS staff hopes that you all had restful and peaceful holidays! Now that it’s January 2018, it’s time to take care of business before the spring 2018 semester begins on Monday, January 29.
- If you are a continuing student, you need to bring your spring 2018 class schedule to the office and request an “Instructor Letter” (green sheet) that you can show to all your instructors.
- If you have been approved for Alternate Media, you must see Cory Thomas, DSS Alternate Media Specialist, ASAP to request texts in alternate format.
- If you are taking an online class and would like to request test taking accommodations for your class(es), you must complete the Online Test Accommodations Request form and submit to Norma Vasquez, DSS Student Services Specialist, at least one week BEFORE the semester begins.
- If you have been approved for Table & Chair class accommodations, this too must be requested before the semester begins to ensure that you can be accommodated for your first class meeting.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment for any reason, you MUST cancel at least 24 hours in advance. If you are a “no-show” or you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, then you may need to meet with the DSS Director to discuss an alternate appointment plan.
ALL new and returning students must complete their placement tests, online college orientation, AND have a valid educational plan in order to receive priority registration.
Visit the Counseling Department website for more detailed information about the campus requirements that must be completed PRIOR to receiving DSS priority registration.
